Directorate of Students’ Welfare

The Directorate of Students’ Welfare (DSW) was established in 1986  (then known as Department of Students Services) aimed at the welfare of the students of affiliated/constituent colleges & University schools and to promote and coordinate social and cultural activities among them. The Directorate since its inception has been administering the works related to the collection of University Union Fee, Student Welfare Fund and annual premium towards Student Accident Insurance Policy.

The Director of Students’ Welfare is the honorary treasurer of the University Union. He also serves as the cultural coordinator for the inter university cultural programmes sponsored by the Association of Indian Universities/other agencies. The Director acts as the University level Nodal Officer for Anti Ragging and has been entrusted to manage the activities related to anti ragging measures among institutions under the University.
